MISSION
Lutheran World is still our mission. All monies will go to the earthquake victims of Haiti and Chile. Envelopes are attached for grades K-5.
SPECIAL PERSONS’ DAY
All money and reservations were due last Friday. The day
will go as follows: Special Persons may arrive at 9:30 a.m. and go to the gym
for coffee; students will get Special Persons at 10:00 a.m.; classroom
visitation at 11:00 a.m.; lunch at 11:30 a.m. a brief break after lunch;
students perform “Go Go Jonah”. At 2:00 p.m. students may go home with their
special person or return to class.
OUR PRINCIPAL
As our principal gets closer to his final days here at Grace, our students had a special week planned for him last week. They planned something for each day in his honor. In this picture he was “King for the Day”. Thank you to Barb Vennix for planning the events last week and supplying cake and ice cream and more. The students’ gift was a golf package to different golf courses. HAPPY RETIREMENT MR. FREDRICH. WE LOVE YOU.
SCHOOL PICNIC
We are traveling to Zion, Beaver this Friday for a Field/Day picnic. Lunch will be provided. Students and drivers will leave the building at 10:45 and return about 2:15.
MEMORIAL DAY
School will be closed Monday, May 31 in observance of Memorial Day. School resumes at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, June 1.
NO HOT LUNCH
There is no hot lunch on June 1st and 2nd. Students must bring a packed lunch. Milk will be provided.
“GO, GO JOHAN”
A special presentation of “Go, Go Jonah” will be performed by the students Thursday, evening at 6:00 p.m. Students need to be here by 5:40 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend. Refreshments will be provided.
HOT LUNCH WORKERS
Hot lunch worker tomorrow is Sheila Schmidt.
SUNDAY WORSHIP
This Sunday begins the 9:00 a.m. worship service for the summer. This will be the only service on Sunday.
LIBRARY – RETURNS ONLY
Library worker tomorrow is Christine Fiebke. This is returns only. Library inventory is June 2. All library workers are asked to help. If anyone would like to help, we would really appreciate it.
SPORT CAMPS
We received some fliers and brochures of Sport Camps at Western. Camps include: Tennis (grades 4-12); Football (K-8); Basketball (grades 3-12). If interested, stop by and pick one up.
