Departmentalized Schedule

    The two full- and two part-time teachers of Grace have met repeatedly throughout the summer in preparation for the upcoming school year.  Mrs. VanSickle, Mrs. Arnold, Mr. Gledhill, and Miss Rudick have been working out details in preparing for an improved departmentalization schedule.  Mrs. VanSickle will teach Language Arts with an emphasis in writing.  Mrs. Arnold teaches Reading.  Mr. Gledhill will teach Science and Social Studies.  Miss Rudick will teach Religion and Math. 

    There will be four groups of students traveling from class to class: K – 2^nd grades; 3^rd/4^th grades; 5^th/6^th grades; and 7^th/8^th grades. 

    The teachers are excited about this new schedule since it allows each teacher to focus on one or two primary curricular areas.  The students will have the opportunity to change classes much as they will when they proceed to high school.  They will also have the opportunity to experience the different teaching strengths and styles offered by each of our teachers.  The teachers have also revised the school supply lists.  If you would like a copy of the revised school supply lists, please contact the school office.  Revised school supply lists will also be available during home visits and school registration.
